ERP for Shopify sellers — one stock truth, every channel synced
Shopify is great at the storefront. It's not built to be the source of truth for your stock when you also sell on Amazon, eBay, wholesale or in physical stores. eTail Support is the system that sits underneath Shopify and runs the operation.
Why Shopify alone isn't enough as you grow
Shopify is a brilliant storefront and a competent order processor. But it isn't built to be the back-office of a multi-channel retail operation. As you add Amazon, eBay, a wholesale channel, a second warehouse, or a 3PL, the gaps appear:
- Stock levels diverge between Shopify and other channels
- You oversell — or hold safety stock that ties up cash
- Shopify's reporting doesn't show you profit by channel
- Fulfilment routing across multiple warehouses gets manual
- Shopify Payments doesn't reconcile cleanly to your accounts
- Refunds and returns lose accuracy across the system
eTail Support sits underneath Shopify and fixes all of these.
How it works
eTail Support becomes the source of truth for your stock, your customers, your orders and your accounts. Shopify becomes one of several channels feeding into it.
- Stock — eTail Support holds the master stock figure. Shopify gets a live feed. So do Amazon, eBay, your wholesale portal, your 3PL warehouse.
- Orders — Shopify orders flow into eTail Support automatically. You can pick, pack and ship from eTail Support, or push the orders to a 3PL.
- Fulfilment — eTail Support generates the labels (any courier), prints the picking list, marks the Shopify order as fulfilled with tracking.
- Accounting — Each Shopify order posts an invoice automatically. Shopify Payments deposits reconcile against your sales. Refunds post correctly.
Specific features Shopify sellers love
One stock pool, all channels in sync
Sell the same SKU on Shopify, Amazon, eBay, Etsy. eTail Support keeps all four in sync in real time. When a customer buys on Amazon, Shopify's inventory updates within seconds.
Bundles & product variants
Shopify variants, eTail Support BOM/bundles, Amazon parent/child ASINs — mapped together correctly so each platform sees what it expects.
Shopify Payments reconciliation
Shopify's daily payouts (after fees, refunds, chargebacks) are notoriously fiddly to reconcile. eTail Support automates this — the bank deposit matches your books to the penny.
Multi-warehouse fulfilment
Ship from the closest warehouse to the customer, or from whichever warehouse has stock. eTail Support routes Shopify orders intelligently across as many warehouses as you have — including our own 3PL if you don't want to run one yourself.
Profit by channel, profit by product
Shopify can tell you gross sales. It can't easily tell you that your Shopify channel makes 42% gross margin while your Amazon channel makes 31%. eTail Support's live reports do.
Shopify Plus / multi-store setups
Multi-store Shopify Plus operations are well-supported — eTail Support can run multiple Shopify stores against one shared stock pool, with separate channel reporting.
Migration from a Shopify-only setup
Most Shopify sellers come to us already running on Shopify. Adding eTail Support is non-disruptive: Shopify keeps running, we hook in via the Shopify Admin API, your stock and product data sync into eTail Support, and you start using eTail Support for the operations work. Typical setup: 1-2 weeks.
