Pricing — the honest breakdown

Linnworks doesn't publish its full pricing — you have to request a quote. Public pricing for the entry plan is around £135/month, which works out to about £31/week. The Pro tier sits much higher and can run into hundreds per month for multi-channel sellers with significant order volumes. There's no free plan and no free trial without a sales call.

eTail Support's pricing is published on the website. Starter is free (up to 50 orders/week), Growth is £10/week for unlimited orders, and Scale is £100/week for multi-user teams up to 5,000 orders/week. There's no setup fee on Scale or below, and you can move plans up or down each month.

Integrations

Both platforms cover the major UK eCommerce channels: Amazon, eBay, Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento. The difference is in what you pay extra for.

Linnworks runs an "App Store" model where some integrations are paid add-ons. Newer integrations or specialist couriers can cost £20-£100/month each. Sellers who want all the bells and whistles can find their bill creeping up over time.

eTail Support takes the opposite approach: every integration is included in every plan. All sales channels, all couriers, all banks, all payment processors. If we don't have one you need, we build it — no extra fee.

Accounting — the biggest difference

Linnworks is order management software. It pushes invoices to a separate accounting system (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage). That's an extra subscription, an extra integration to maintain, and an extra place where data goes wrong.

eTail Support has a full double-entry accounting engine built in. Invoices post automatically the moment an order ships. Live P&L by channel and by SKU. VAT returns. Bank reconciliation via Open Banking. You don't need Xero or QuickBooks if you use eTail Support — though you can keep them if you prefer.

For sellers also wanting AI-led automation of the accounting workflow, you can pair eTail Support with Luca — our open-source AI accountant.

Stock & purchasing

Linnworks does competent stock control — multi-warehouse, item-level tracking, basic reorder reports.

eTail Support does the same plus Smart Purchasing: predictive purchase recommendations based on actual sell-through rate, lead-time-aware so you never run out, cash-flow-aware so you don't over-buy. This is the feature most online retailers tell us they wish their old tool had.

Order processing & fulfilment

Both systems generate shipping labels, picking lists, and pack slips automatically. Both support multi-courier setups. Both can route orders to multi-warehouse setups.

The unique eTail Support advantage: we also offer the warehouse. Our 3PL service in Liverpool and Ljubljana means you can hand over the physical pick-pack-ship to us and let the software route orders accordingly. Linnworks is software-only — you find your own 3PL.

Setup, training & support

Linnworks onboarding is structured but tiered: enterprise customers get dedicated success managers, smaller plans get standard support. Implementation typically takes 2-4 weeks with paid onboarding services for complex setups.

eTail Support setup is faster and personal — you talk to the founder, not a tier-1 support rep. Most customers go live within a week. Book an onboarding call and we'll set you up directly.

Who should use Linnworks?

Linnworks IS the right choice if:

  • You already use it and your workflow is deeply embedded — switching is non-trivial
  • You need an enterprise-grade WMS for a large warehouse operation, with the matching IT team and budget
  • Your accountants are committed to Xero/QuickBooks and won't change
  • You value being on a platform with thousands of users for community-driven knowledge

Who should use eTail Support?

eTail Support is the right choice if:

  • You want one platform that does ERP + accounting, not two systems duct-taped together
  • You want predictable, transparent pricing — no surprise add-on fees
  • You want help, not just software — 3PL, accountancy, business setup all on tap
  • You're growing into the EU and need EU stock holding (our Ljubljana warehouse)
  • You'd rather talk to a founder than a tier-1 support rep
  • You want a free starter plan to test the software before paying

FAQ

Is eTail Support actually cheaper than Linnworks?

For most single-warehouse sellers under 5,000 orders/week, yes — substantially. The bigger savings come from not needing Xero/QuickBooks, not paying for integrations one-by-one, and not paying for setup. For very large enterprise operations the difference narrows.

Can I import my Linnworks data into eTail Support?

Yes. We accept Linnworks CSV exports for products, customers, orders, suppliers, and stock movements. The import is part of the migration call.

How long does migration take?

Typically 2-4 weeks from kickoff to full cutover. Faster if your setup is simple, longer if you have complex multi-warehouse or custom integration setups.

Does eTail Support have everything Linnworks does?

For the things 95% of sellers actually use, yes — in many cases more (built-in accounting, Smart Purchasing). For very long-tail Linnworks features used by enterprise customers, we may not have a 1:1 match. Tell us what you use day-to-day and we'll be honest about whether eTail Support covers it.

Will I need a separate accounting tool?

No. eTail Support has a full double-entry accounting engine built in. You can keep Xero/QuickBooks if your accountant prefers them — we'll integrate — but you don't need to.

Does eTail Support have a free trial?

Better than that — the Starter plan is free forever, no card required. Up to 50 orders/week. Use it as long as you like to evaluate the software.
